Our Volunteers
As you see from our history, volunteers are the lifeblood of MARC. We provide a wide range of volunteering opportunities on the following:
- Working in our shop serving customers or helping out.
- Testing electrical items.
- Working on the van collecting and delivering furniture and goods
- Helping test and assemble fridges, cookers, and washing machines
- Helping to test and assemble computers
- Steam cleaning
- Driving our mini-bus
- Helping in the centre with administration and publicity and promotion
- Becoming a board member
Volunteers are given proper out of pocket expenses.
Volunteers can choose their own training depending on which area that they volunteer.
Volunteers have their very own handbook, which sets out their rights and responsibilities.
MARC has regular socials and outings to other organisations.
We have our own mini-bus.
